
The Take Charge, Take Care workshop has been designed to help people develop the skills they need to take care of themselves and manage the daily challenges of living with a chronic health condition. During a series of 6 weekly sessions, the workshop covers topics including:
-Goal setting & problem solving
-Managing pain & fatigue
-Handling difficult emotions
-Fitness & healthy eating
-Tools for reducing stress & anxiety
-Working with your health care team

Now, for the first time, the workshop is being offered in Ontario to people with Spinal Cord Injuries, although anyone living with a chronic health condition can benefit.
Friends, family members and caregivers of people living with chronic health conditions are also welcome.
Take Charge, Take Care will be offered in a pilot at two midtown Toronto locations: the Anne Johnston Health Station and Toronto Rehab’s Lyndhurst Centre. The first sessions will take place on Thursday evenings beginning April 24th.
